(member of Entersoft Group) for the provision of its e-invoicing services, implementing solutions for the electronic transmission and filing of invoices without the need for paper printing.
LeasePlan’s mission is to “achieve global and local leadership in providing cost efficient, flexible and integrated vehicle management solutions to corporate customers and consumers.” The company dynamically entered the Greek market in 2003 and revolutionized the operating leasing sector with its innovative car fleet management.
The e-invoicing service allows LeasePlan to send its customers invoices automatically and electronically and on specific dates. The main benefits that LeasePlan gains from the application of the e-invoicing solution are the tax compliant and secure transmission of invoices, their filing, the timely notification of the parties involved regarding the transmission and receipt of invoices, the matching of data between the invoices and the EDI message equivalents, the provision of a storage medium, as well as access to a customized web page, which functions in line with LeasePlan’s corporate identity, and is used for the safe browsing, viewing and local storage of invoices.

Studies forecast e-invoicing in Greece to grow rapidly by 2015 |
Retail@Link’s solutions trim invoicing costs up to 65% with amortization reached within 6 months |
Athens, 1 November 2010. According to Professor Alessandro Perego’s (Politecnico di Milano School of Management) study, recently presented at the International e-Invoicing Summit in Munich, businesses can experience a savings potential of up to 65 EUR per process cycle (including Order, Delivery, Invoice and Payment). In this way, the more conventional method of generating, sending, storing and handling invoices becomes “digitized.”
The present adoption rate of e-invoicing in Greece is drastically accelerating. There was a 45% increase in the first semester of 2010 alone as compared with the 2009 results. Today, it is calculated that, from a total of 200-250 million invoices that are issued annually, 2,5 – 3% of B2B invoices are handled electronically, a coverage that has accumulated in the last 5 years exclusively by the private sector. RETAIL@LINK is a forerunner in the e-invoicing area, with the biggest market share.
At the 6th European EXPP e-invoicing Summit, Mr. Bruno Koch presented international studies which forecast that by the end of 2015 e-invoicing in Greece will reach a total coverage greater than 70%.
Furthermore, it is indicated that the official legislation that awaits to be released will make compulsory the electronic transmission, recognition and storage of these e-invoices in the future, only if one or more of the following applies: a) invoices exchanged are between private companies and [also] the public sector, b) commercial transaction is greater than a particular amount, or c) invoices pertain to certain sectors. In this context, RETAIL@LINK is already in the position to offer its customers the business benefits of electronic invoicing, as the company is already compliant with the current and “to-be” value-added tax regulation. It also contributes to the development and competitiveness of our country by employing “green” practices.
Businesses are already aware of the advantages and the benefits that they could incur through the application of e-invoicing, especially in combination with the automated and structured transmission of invoices via EDI. Finally, in the midst of today’s global economic crisis, investments in such solutions are quickly amortized, even within a 6 month period, something that brings about realistic and quick wins to businesses. |
